1 - READ THE WORD
The blame
"Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. It is by your holding fast to the word of life"
Philippians 2:14-16a

2 - Reflect
When we feel guilty about what we have said or done to someone we go through a series of emotions: anger, modesty, and disappointment. We may believe that in that moment we have a debt to our brethren or maybe we think that it will be impossible to fix our mistake. It could be demands that we set for ourselves or conditions set by others, and that keeps us in a permanent cycle of fault. We are all learning lessons thanks to our mistakes, but we must not blame ourselves for each one of them.
It is important to understand and analyze why we sometimes are moved by that feeling, or what reasons we have to act the way others wish us to. When we are not honest with our own needs, we let others make decisions for us, and that will create a kind of debt. Speaking in a pensive manner to God the Father in order to exact our personal balance and remain aligned with our true self, is the only way to keep from assuming false commitments that will lead us to feeling guilty. That is how we will count on the harmony we need in order to choose our paths wisely and be able to live in communion with our brethren. God has given us the clarity and the forgiveness we need in order to continue on.
