Treasuring our emotional relationships

"Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind."

2 - Reflect
We often make the mistake of postponing meeting someone because we believe we will be "eternal", and it is the same with those around us. We cancel invitations to dates with friends, we don't go to birthdays of family members or make any excuse to not have them over to our house and interrupt our leisure. Sometimes we stop to think about how our lives would be without certain people, but something could happen that drastically takes them away. Then, despaired and in anguish we run to the Lord and are mad at Him, when our rage should be against our laziness and disdain.

Having quality moments with friends and loved ones must be highly valued at these times. Spending time together, enjoying the small details to create new and unrepeatable moments. God has given us the divine grace of being able to share with our brethren, let us not keep from taking advantage of these opportunities by thinking there will always be a tomorrow that we can reschedule seeing them at any time. Let's remain thankful for the blessing of having those people in our lives. That will keep us humble and centered on what is truly important, in God's love and that of our neighbors. Let's daily celebrate their existence and their lessons.
