Emotions that make us ill
"Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven."
James 5:14-15

2 - Reflect
Sometimes we may hold onto certain emotions such as anger, guilt, or blame and all of it is digging deep into our body. What we don't say or don't express will become a symptom, disease, or another organism and makes us walk a path of learning. Every time that we hold in words we need to say in an exchange with a friend or family member, it can turn on us. Throat aches or headaches will be those things we did not dare to say, for that reason, we must begin to be more open and sincere with what is going on with us.
Getting through an illness can be a very painful and bothersome process from which we will come out strengthened if we hold on to faith in our Lord to overcome it. Our health has to be something essential, and that will often only depend on our care. If we allow our negative emotions to overcome us, if we try to permanently silence our daily stress or we become stubborn and obstinate without speaking to anyone else about it, it is likely that our body will become ill. Maintaining a dialogue with God will give us peace and calm, it will allow us to truly evaluate what is important, and one of those things is prioritizing our well-being.
