2 - Reflect
There are times in life when I personally feel a little off axis. Everything around me seems to be working perfectly, but there is something inside me that does not feel right. In such cases, I usually meditate on the matter and check that I have not strayed from God's path, or take care that my faith has not weakened, using prayer as a way to get a little closer to Christ.
That is why I think it is important to keep in mind that many times, everything that can harm us at the moment or in the future, can come from the most unexpected places. On this occasion I am referring to our own emotions.
There are many times that I have heard people talk about how they had been "betrayed by their emotions", attributing failure in such a situation to an external issue. It is then when we must understand that the emotions under which we tend to act, are human issues and, therefore, are not perfect.
Only God knows perfection and it is in Him that we must rely on when it comes to acting. When we trust that we alone can resolve a conflict and that we do not need God's guidance, that is when the feeling of omnipotence comes to the surface until God tells us that something is not right. So let us listen to him.
