What the Lord Desires for Your Life
Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

2 - Reflect
We all know that an always-ready, boy scout mentality is absolutely necessary to walk the path that Christ invites us to travel. We also know the sacrifices we must go through and the rewards that await us when we reach the end of that path, but at the same time that mentality must be that of a dedicated person.
While God welcomes everyone into His kingdom regardless of past sins, as long as repentance is true, becoming a child of God implies assuming obligations and responsibilities that will forge our spirit and strengthen our faith. One of these obligations is to be willing to comply with God at any moment, even if that moment is the least opportune according to our priorities.
It is precisely here where I personally believe that the root of the conflict lies: God must be the priority for us, since everything happens through Him and He decides what will be. Being willing to serve God when He demands it has a double value for us: not only does it speak of the love we feel for Christ, but at the same time it speaks of the place we give Him in our lives.
