Choosing the love
“Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.”

Choosing love over hatred during times when everything is confusion will be the only thing that saves us. We must open our hearts to God when others call on us to argue, or to fight among brothers. It will take and require great courage to be willing to abandon our stubbornness and obstinacy and learn every day to ask for forgiveness and give it to those who offended us. Start from scratch, whenever we do not know how to bridge the gap with them, or when feelings of resentment intervene.
When we do not understand what it was that made us so angry about what our brother did, what made those differences irreconcilable, we have to commune with God. We must understand that we are all different and that we express ourselves and often feel differently, so we must tolerate those differences. To think that everyone should act as I do, or say the same things that I say, is a mistake. We must be more compassionate to the point of view of others, and respond with love even when we feel that we have been offended. Maybe that person did not intend to hurt us but wanted to show us another way to think. Remaining angry or sad will not give us any lesson, on the contrary, it will take us further away from valuable people who come to show us other points of view.
