Many times our brothers come to us when they are in need. They may just need advice, a word of encouragement, or even a plate of food. Our duty as Christians will always be to help them, but what happens with those people who take advantage of our kindness? Solidarity is our value to our neighbors, but there are those who may act with confused intentions. They may want to take the good things but are never there when it is time to give back or they lie and makeup situations to take advantage of our good intentions.
Taking some distance away from our brethren will also bring us closer to God, because He will help us by giving new lessons to those who have done wrong. Remaining in contact with our Lord will give us the perspective we need in order to understand that we can give of ourselves to others in many ways while not being hurt in the process. If it turns out that others have wasted our time or that they have used us in ways that we do not consider correct, God knows how to reward us and will teach those who need to hear it. It is important to be able to guide our brothers and sisters who have strayed from God the Father. Stay united and present but also allow them to take their own steps to reach the Lord.
