Discover Who You Really Are

Therefore I will give their wives to other men and their fields to new owners. From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace.

Many times we have heard about how at times we can be our own enemy. I personally believe that it all starts from self-deception, from those things we get used to and take for granted, when we deeply know that only God is the only one who can judge us.

Today I find it interesting to talk about who we really are and who we pretend to be in the eyes of others. Many times we wear masks so that others may have a certain vision of us, to hide the problems that really afflict us.

This way of acting only sends the wrong message about who we are and, what is worse, forces us to lie constantly to prevent our mask from falling and revealing our true selves. But the question we must ask ourselves in such a case is: Who am I? And the answer will be found in our hearts, which is where the Lord speaks to us.

If there is anyone who really knows how we are and how we will be, it is the Most Holy One, and before Him we do not need to hide our true face, mainly because Christ receives us no matter what we have done or what we have said, He heals our wounds and cleanses us from all impurity, because He is the way, the truth and the life.
