When we receive a text message, what is our immediate reaction, we will surely answer immediately without even thinking about the answer.
This produces a form of communication that is improvised on the fly and therefore lacks the necessary pause to achieve more consistent and deeper interactions.
We live in a world where the idea of immediate response has been imposed on us. Everything must be solved now, with improvisation and uncertainty.
It is very easy, with this way of contacting us, to get carried away by the rush. This desperation to answer all messages at the same time takes us away from one of the most beautiful Blessings that God has to give us: Peace of Spirit.
We do not realize the whirlwind in which we are involved. Of course, our work obligations, our finances, our health and our daily occupations demand from us a level of concentration where everything seems to be solved with immediacy.
If only we knew that we can rescue the comforting Peace given by the Lord just by taking a few minutes, a simple moment to take a deep breath, close our eyes, listen, analyze and consequently act.
It is true that certain circumstances force us to make quick resolutions. Let us have the Wisdom with which our Heavenly Father nourishes us to detect in which we can pause in order to continue more confident and encouraged in our Faith.
Let us take the example that our Lord gives us: He is never in a hurry and arrives just when we need Him most.
