2 - Reflect
Today I was meditating on the vision that many people close to me have about what life dedicated to God is like; how do we believers fulfill our obligations and at the same time be worthy children of God, and there we can find the first mistake: The path that we believers choose is the path of God; it is a way of life, it is a unique law that we obey because we have faith in Him and trust in the love that He has for us and that He will always want the best for us.
Moreover, many of us believers, at times also believe that living under God's rules implies a superhuman effort and that many times we find ourselves lost without knowing what to do, feeling overwhelmed when we ask ourselves if we are really His good children and it is then that we must not forget that God has endowed us with conscience. The conscience is like an alarm that we have within us and that, separated from free will, is the one that tells us when we commit an act that does not dignify Christ.
But it is important to know how to separate free will from conscience: one will not stop the other, but it is our conscience that we must listen to, since in it is found the essence of the Lord, dictating to our hearts what He expects of us, His children.
