Calling us to silence

2 - Reflect
In these times in which there are more and more electronic devices and in which we are constantly urged to give instant answers, it is important to be able to process the multitude of information. Calling us to silence is a good step to be able to think about appropriate answers and to understand what is given to us to be resolved or for us to traverse. Many times, since we can not eliminate the immediate response circuit, we commit ourselves to things that we do not have the will to do or to say, and we wrongly choose our words which that may also offend others.

It is important to be able to take a break, and analyze what we are going to say or how we are going to do it. Acting in an unguarded or irrational way may represent a discomfort or a conflicting situation that we may have to attend to. Reflection has always been very important, but in these moments it is even more so. Contemplate with God the Father on what we can answer whenever we are challenged, spend a few minutes thinking critically on how we can communicate better, how to have social relationships that are not only mediated by cell phones or computers. Recovering the value of words and community meetings will be our challenge as Christians, so as not to distance ourselves from each other by maintaining our relationships through mobile devices.
