Capriciousness

“Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
James 1:12

2 - Reflect
When we are children we can argue for hours with our parents about something we want or that we believe that they should do. We get caught up in the most absurd fights over material things, over toys, or because they will not let us go out with our friends. At the time, we believe it is the most important thing and they should provide it, but we forget that in order to get those things, many times, we must also give something back in return. For example, be dedicated students, attend mass, help with household chores, or simply be polite and respectful. When we ask we are all a little selfish, we want to fulfill our request and get our own way. The dangerous thing is when we continue to maintain these bad behaviors as adults.

There are selfish people who do not think about others for even one second. They always want to get what they set out to do, but many times they do it at any cost. Capricious people want to impose themselves on the will of others when the true and only will is that of God the Father. But they have lost contact with the Lord, because they consider themselves more important and do not know humility. As brothers, our task will be to bring them closer to God's path and to His word, so there will be no arrogance in their hearts and their requests will not only encompass your own desires but also those of others.
