2 - Reflect
We often make the mistake of suffocating our loved ones when we become too protective. In our eagerness to take care of all their decisions or to scrutinze each step they take, we can be very invasive when in reality all we want is to be loving and understanding. Scrutinizing their way of life or their choices will not always be under our control. They may find in us, their brothers, a guide or advice, but we must understand that the best and wisest advice will always be in the hands of God the Father.
We must allow ourselves to trust that He will be in charge of watching over the future of our loved ones, and that our concerns will only hinder their paths and decisions. Being too fearful or wanting to be present in every challenge they assume, will only restrict their freedoms and our loved ones belong to God the Father, who will decide each obstacle in His grace. We can rest in the knowledge that He will be as caring of them as we would be, and we will pray and praise the Lord so that He may fulfill His task as the Father of all men. Appeal to His fair judgment and He will reprimand them any time they deviate their path and we must surrender to His divine will.
