God watches us
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

2 - Reflect
I used to be a very greedy and disloyal person, selfishness had impacted me deeply. I did not understand why I should change, if everyone around me watched their own backs, if nobody cared for others or for being better people. Since individualism had taken over our communities, and no one cared about how they made their brethren feel with the decisions they made, but only cared about how to protect themselves. Each time I spoke less and less to my family, I did not have room for reflection or to be thankful for anything that had been given to me.
It is easy to think that since "everyone does it that way" I myself must continue with that cycle. After having an extensive talk with one of my grandparents, I understood what I was missing. I was missing that God the Father always observes us, that He follows in our footsteps and that I should improve as a Christian. The change was radical, solidarity became part of my existence and listening attentively to my brothers also began to change their attitudes. The effect that Christ's love has on our hearts must be contagious, and it must be extended to all those who have not yet discovered it. Bringing them closer to our faith when they are far away and disillusioned is part of our task as faithful children. We must show them God's way, a path of tranquility and peace, in which there are no mistakes but only learning.
