2 - Reflect
Our brethren may need us when we least expect it, and that is when we will show our true commitment as Christians. Friends who go through a bad time and ask for our help, family members who are unable to find a way, or just strangers who have had to survive on the streets. All of them are proof that we are not alone, that we should always be ready to help others. Even if we do not know them, or we do not think they need us, we must remain alert and to prove our solidarity which will be what keeps us united in Christ's love.
When someone comes to us and as fools we turn a deaf ear to their request, we may be making a terrible mistake. Because we will never know what paths our Father will take us down, perhaps tomorrow we will find ourselves in an unfavorable situation and it will be those same people to whom we will have to go to for consolation or advice. They will be the ones who will choose to receive us in their homes or offer us a plate of food. Remaining strong, living in communion, and enabling relationships of love between one another, that is what will enhance societies in their moments of change or crisis.
