Worth the effort

When we are tired and annoyed we may start questioning the time and effort it takes to achieve something. There are tasks, in our learning process or in our path to achieving a goal, that may not be pleasant. Some of those tasks will cost us more than others: more concentration, more time, more effort. We may ask ourselves: "Is it worth it?", When in reality we should talk about effort and not about grief. The penalty should not be present in a plan that will give us great results or that will fill us with rejoicing.


The reward will be given by Our Father. Surely we will have to set aside other moments that we find more fun, such as fun with friends or having time with family. But we must not forget our goal and how happy we will be to achieve it. God will be present throughout the journey, with His word of encouragement when we are tempted to abandon the project, and with His grace when we finish it. Because only He will witness what we give up to reach the goal, and will reward our effort with harmony, rest, and joy. It is normal to want to leave everything halfway when we find ourselves without strength to continue, but the reward of Our Lord will be great and will be even greater than our desire to leave.
