Remaining humble

“No hagan nada por egoísmo o vanidad; más bien, con humildad consideren a los demás como superiores a ustedes mismos.”

2 - Reflect
There are people who, when they achieve certain "success" in their lives, begin to confuse the way they express those achievements and combine them with a certain arrogance. Therefore, they meet up with family or friends and tell them how much of what they attempted they have achieved, what and how many things they have.

They spend minutes and hours talking about themselves, how hard they tried, and many times, they do it with conceit and arrogance. This attitude may offend others who may be going through a bad time in their lives or because of an unstable economy in the home. So, is it reprehensible to share our gains with our neighbor? The answer is no, it should not become an offense to say how we are doing on our path, but we must choose our words wisely.

Being grateful with Our Father for making us get through something well will be the key. Our effort to achieve our goals will also be important, but more so will be the commitment and respect we have with those around us. If we reach our goals but we are inconsiderate and selfish, our well-being will not last long. Because soon we will be moving away from God, from our true calling as brothers, from being in solidarity with our neighbor, and not just thinking about our own successes.
