2 - Reflect
It is interesting to see the sequence of events told in this passage:
1- God calls the devil
2- God boasts on the righteousness of Job.
3- God allows him to be tempted.
It would be extensive and complex to analyze the circumstances that each of us goes through in life. Each case is unique and particular, in the same way God's behavior towards us, in addition to personal has a purpose defined by God which we do not know. In the case of Job, we can analyze some interesting aspects. If a chef insists that you try his cake, it is because he has full confidence that you will like it. In the same way, God works with us. He knew who Job was, what material he was made of, he knew that the tests that the enemy could place before him, was not going to be a reason for Job to deny God.
God knows us, even though we still have not spoken, He already knows all our prayers. Why not think that circumstances are a test to know what we are made of? Our Faith, which is more precious than gold, is tested with fire, and in order to get ahead in life, we have to face obstacles that, at the end of the race, will be our awards.
Undoubtedly, any circumstance that comes to our life, is allowed by God not as a punishment, but to prove that we have the ability to move forward when we place our Faith in the one who loved us first.
