The shield gives us Faith

Many will try to sow doubts about our beliefs. They will criticize our methods or the ways that Our Father has in order to show us our vocation as children. The argument they will use is the one that many of us have heard: why do you follow God if He has abandoned you at this moment? These questions are often heard, for example, when we lose a loved one. Unfairly or not, through a long illness or an accident that has no explanation, our brothers can begin to question God's designs.


In these situations we must keep the faith and understand that, however unjust the loss may seem, Our God always keeps a valuable lesson tied to it. A lesson that surely overshadows pain and sadness, but we will see it only after some time passes.



Our faith will often act as a shield against bad decisions and, above all, before the traps and methods of evil. Staying strong against evil or vices, will make us better people, in other words, better Christians. Although many times we will be put to the test, or others may even question the methods used by God to show us the way, we must strongly hold on to it and maintain our contact with the Lord on a permanent basis.
