Sometimes we may feel we are always at the mercy of others. Attending to their needs and demands, always answering their calls, giving almost everything we can of ourselves. It is very likely that in this scenario we may feel that we are blurred or lose ourselves in that dynamic. Because we are neglecting our own demands, and maybe we do not even know how to identify them. When we separate ourselves from what our own hearts require, it is possible that others may take advantage of it.

We have to understand that we should only be faithful and devoted children to our Heavenly Father, no one else can occupy that place. It is a kind action and a faithful one to help or work with our brethren when they are in need, but not to get lost in it. Our Father will reward us for our solidarity but He will also be there to remind us of the importance of taking care of ourselves and our relationship through Him. When we give it all we may end up empty of love and hope. Going back to God whenever that happens will give us a clearer picture of how we should really conduct ourselves with others. We do not have to be greedy or stingy, but it is our responsibility to keep ourselves aligned in our own thoughts and needs.
