Discussions are often part of growth when we understand different points of view. When we understand an exchange of ideas like that, it does not require us to engage in a conversation in an aggressive or impertinent way. However, many people do not understand that action, and take the discussions to another level. Trying to discredit the other person, insulting them and even verbally or physically assault them. Intolerance plays an important role in them when they fail to see that the other person is only teaching them a new point of view, a new way of understanding the reality that surrounds them.
We all have different criteria for understanding things or situations and we must not fall into selfishness about our brother's interpretations. Accept the differences in order to reach common places of understanding or simply understand that the other person does not need to think like me, but can show me another way of seeing things to increase my knowledge on that subject.
Accentuating the differences or obfuscating ourselves when they do not think as we expected them to is a mistake. Seeing aside the views on a subject that does not coincide with ours is a point that requires our attention, because it will only expose our lack of tolerance and love for our neighbor.
