2 - Reflect
We all go through times of pain and despair, in those moments of darkness we can easily choose to distance ourselves from God. Why does that happen? Because we feel that perhaps He is not ultimately there to take care of us and protect us, because He has put us on a difficult path or has taken someone that we love with all our heart from our lives. The truth is that all this could be a part of our path, however, it does not mean that God is not there for us, but rather the opposite.
Many times Our Father must challenge us in some way to show our courage, our love towards others, and our compassion. The path may become confusing and painful but we must have confidence and believe that divine grace will always be present. We will find peace much sooner than we imagine if we entrust ourselves to Our Heavenly Father. He will never abandon us or let us fall into despair or lack of love. He will be with us in sadness and in joys, in sorrows and in rejoicing.
When we do not have consolation, He will be the outstretched hand, the word of encouragement, the warmth of a hug, but we will need to face situations that will not always be pleasant in order to grow as individuals and Christians in the love of Our Father.
