The impudence of youth
“Rejoice, young man, while you are young, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Follow the inclination of your heart and the desire of your eyes, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”
Ecclesiastes 11:9

When we are young we can go through different stages, but that of rebellion is the most common. We respond inadequately to our brothers, we commit mischief, and we constantly challenge everything we believe is imposed on us. We are reckless and nothing nor nobody intimidates us. We think ourselves unbeatable and immortal and without hesitation we put the tolerance of others to the test, because we assume that everything will be forgiven. When we suffer we can make many mistakes, but it is a growth that we have to face on our own. One of those mistakes is often related to the withdrawal from faith.
I had to approach God the Father in a desperate moment. My father had died a few days prior very suddenly. An accident took him unexpectedly and I was just angry. Rage for not communicating with him differently, anger at not being able to share his wishes and mine, and because of the inevitable feeling that he would not see me grow up anymore. I felt an anger so severe that no one could get me out of my room, I spent whole days in a terrible remorse. Until I began, little by little, to pray and to send my prayers to God, because I knew in my heart that only He could calm me down. In God I would find the peace and love I needed in order to heal.
