The fears
“do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

2 - Reflect
I was always a scared child, my parents did not have any other children and unfortunately, all their anxieties fell on me. I could not go alone to the park that was a few blocks from my house because I might fall from the swings, I could not walk to school because someone could kidnap me. My parents were already old when I was born, my classmates used to tease me and tell me that they were my grandparents. I do not remember my childhood as an experimental stage but rather as a time subject to their desires, or rather, to their own fears and not mine.
Already as an adult I had a fear: a fear of flying in airplanes, for both short and long trips. I just could not get on an aircraft, I would begin to shake, and completely lose control. I began to understand pretty quickly that it was due to just that, not being able to control when I landed, to not be able to get off any time I wanted to. I began to pray every time I had to travel for work, a few minutes before I would talk to God the Father and soon those feelings of helplessness would give way. Parents have a duty to care for their children, but also, they must be allowed to experiment and form their own character, otherwise parents would only be living through them and not with them.
