1 - READ THE WORD
Avoid anger
“My child, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves the one he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.”

2 - Reflect
It is a mistake to be offended when our Heavenly Father has another way for us. We often believe we are going down the right path, we put all our energies into achieving this goal or that goal and then we set out and go for it at any cost. When we are so blinded by achieving something we may end up turning our attention to things that are not all that important. Even worse, maybe in our eagerness to get what we want, our attitude becomes less caring with others or we make decisions that have nothing to do with our Christian actions. We can make ourselves out to be selfish or sycophantic in order to get what we desire.
We should not be foolish and offended when God gives us another destiny and shows us our mistakes. He is only teaching us to handle ourselves differently, to consider others in our path and to keep from being obstinate. If we believe that we know everything then we will be wrong, Our Father will tell us that we must correct some of our attitudes that will lead us to bad times. Having solidarity and being considerate is paramount, since we are not alone in our desires, but there are many brethren willing to help us achieve it.
