2 - Reflect
It is normal that when we become independent from our family's home we may find ourselves kind of distanced. It is a way of showing and demonstrating that we can stand on our own, that we do not need anyone, can make us be arrogant. Sometimes we do it to get away from our parents as a form of rebellion, or to teach them that we are also adults and that we can now make our own decisions on our own terms. Being independent has more to do with learning every day to manage life, rather than being distant from those who have raised us in God's love.
Keeping a good relationship with our loved ones, and even continuing to maintain good habits as Christians will help us remain faithful to God the Father. We must continue to meditate and go to mass. We can do it on our own when we are able to or make it an appointment with our families and celebrate with them. Family traditions such as weekend gatherings or anniversaries are also be ways to continue working on our relationships once we leave home and become adults. It is important to remember and value those who raised us in the faith and who made us the Christians we are today.
