2 - Reflect
I used to believe that if the love I felt for the other person was not passionate, it did not exist. The love that kept you awake at night, with a lump in your throat, or just kept you nervous and scared. If that love was not reciprocated, if it was wrong, or if our paths never crossed, it was right for me. I mistakenly believed that the other person should wage a kind of battle in order to win my love, my affection, my compassion and that I should strive for emotional debts.
I soon understood that they were just passions and bad thoughts that would not lead me to the love that God the Father wanted me to enjoy on my path. A free and healthy love, in which I would take care of the other person as much as of myself. In which we focused together on our realities and that of our brethren, one in which we were supportive and understanding with ourselves. Only when I made the word of our Lord my own: "love one another, just as I have loved you", not in a jealous and incomprehensible way. Without selfishness in our hearts, without possession, without arguments, without meaning or arrogance. We must abandon foolishness and prepare to become better as Christians, to love selflessly.
