When the body speaks
“saying, 'If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I put upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord, your healer.' ”

2 - Reflect
Many times our physical pains are linked to emotions or words that we can not express. What we do not say becomes a symptom, and we begin to get sick. Diseases can be seen as a condition and generally cause a lot of stress in our loved ones. Getting through the process of an ailment can be very distressing and cause hopelessness, that is why we must cling to faith in Our God so that we may be able to cope with it.
What we do not externalize can turn against us. Silencing anger or frustrations and trying to make them go away can be counterproductive to our own health, both physically and emotionally. It will always be better, at the time of being upset, to be able to speak respectfully about what is happening to us. Silencing a negative emotion will only cause us to repress it and that affects our well-being. We must talk about what happens to us, to reflect on that and not let it impact our body. Staying healthy and contemplative will keep us in a good spiritual shape. If we let those emotions take over our body we will be sick because of bad thoughts and feelings of anger or anguish that will affect us and our brethren. Remaining in conversation with God about how we act and about our frustrations will be the healthiest thing to do.
