2 - Reflect
We know the story well, Christ gave Himself for us, because of His love for us and we promised to love Him and be faithful to Him by devoting our whole lives to Him. We also know that it is our duty to honor Him and to make our lives in Him, but personally I see all that being done in a solemn way.
It is good that we respect the ordeal that Christ went through, but we must also keep in mind that He knew the whole plan, and He knew that no matter how bad a time He was in, it was temporary. What I am referring to is that we should take our encounter with Christ as a celebration, since we are joyful and happy to have God in our lives.
It is very important to remember then that it is the Father Himself who encourages us to bring His word to those who need it, to bring the good news. Such a message needs such a celebration, and what we ultimately do is to invite those who do not know God to join us in our celebration, in a celebration that reminds us that God is good.
Let us not forget that God does not distinguish between His children, nor does He take into account what you have done in your previous life, He only celebrates the fact that you have come close to Him, that is enough.
