1 - READ THE WORD
Accepting criticism
“Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.”
Philippians 2:14-16

2 - Reflect
I used to be very reticent about criticism or comments from colleagues, friends, and family. I did not accept that things could be done or thought differently. My way was the only one that I contemplated and I remained faithful to my instinct whether it resulted in a success or failure. I had a very stubborn and inflexible mind and argued frequently when I received a comment from other people. When I had a doubt about a certain topic I did not take advice from anyone but my God. I was considering the situation and I was getting the answer I needed eventually, but I soon realized that it was isolating me.
We must have greatness in order to ask our loved ones for an opinion and that requires that we be humble. If we believe that we have all the answers then we will be wrong, because God the Father has entrusted us with different experiences so that we can share them in community and grow as brethren. Listening is fundamental, we must recognize that we do not know something or we do not have enough information and it will be fine. We are often too severe with ourselves, our brothers will also help us when we are confused about what to do. We must let ourselves be helped when necessary and learn from our neighbor's experiences.
