Helping Us to Reflect on Others
Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

2 - Reflect
Often, the way we have been raised by our parents or perhaps other reasons, makes some people more empathetic towards others than others. Personally I do not think this is something terrible, since I know that walking the path of the Lord everything is learned and everything is acquired from the benevolent hand of the Holy Father.
But beyond all this, I would like to emphasize the importance of thinking of others; to think of helping them when we know they are going through a bad time, regardless of whether we have known them all our lives or whether they are perfect strangers to us; to help them not because we do not need anything or because we have everything, but for the simple fact that they need it more than we do at that very moment.
To be in solidarity with our neighbor means to have understood to the letter the message that is repeated so many times in the Holy Bible and, therefore, to have understood the teaching that God wanted to leave us.
Extending a hand to those in need means doing God's will and honoring Him; glorifying His name by making our actions speak louder than our words.
