2 - Reflect
As we grow older we tend to be more cautious in our choice of friendships. We no longer tolerate some of the things we used to tolerate in our adolescence and we seek relationships that are more solid. The kind that free us and love us genuinely, with no strings nor duties, without having to be complacent with one another. The path has already proven difficult without adding more problems or forcing ourselves to share with people who do not believe the same as we do. That is why it is important to surround ourselves with people who share the word of God the Father the way we do, who are willing to reflect on it so that together we may exalt the Lord.
The friendship is consolidated as long as each of the parties are happy for the joy of the other, but are also willing to be a mutual support in sadness and sorrows. Being companions and having solidarity with our brethren will make us stronger. Being interested in what happens to those we care about, will allow us to ne more compassionate and attentive. Being proud, when our friends achieve something they set out to do or are successful in some part of their lives, will be rewarded by the Lord.
